Don't forget!  We can come to you and train any size group of 6 or more for BLS, CPR/AED 1st Aid and new parent classes.

The intended audience is healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physicians assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel. 

 
The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

Course Content

• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
• Use of an AED
• Effective ventilations using a barrier device
• Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

HeartCode® BLS Online Program
The eLearning component of Heartcode BLS blended learning, this course uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills.

If you come in with a certificate other than the AHA certificate, we will not be able to complete your skills test.

 

This is the Part 2: Skill evaluation performed by a qualified American Heart Association BLS Instructor. Must have confirmation of the e-learning site part 1. The skill portion takes anywhere from ten minutes to thirty minutes depending on performance. 

Online & Classroom - Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

 

Important Notes: 

1. This blended online learning course plus the in-person skills session is equivalent to a full, in-person course.

2. The certification card is the SAME as a full in-person course. "Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years" (Red Cross).

Steps: 

Part 1: Visit the Red Cross (click the link to register & create an account) and complete the e-learning portion of adult pediatric CPR/AED. You cannot perform the skills portion (part 2) without the certificate of completion.

 

***THIS is Part 2:

Part 2: Schedule the in-person skills session.This can be done up until 60 days after completion of Part 1

  • The skills portion must be completed within 60 days of completion of the online portion of the program.
  • You will need to bring in physical proof of a completed Part 1 (a screenshot or physical paper), before you attend this in-person skills session (Part 2).

Classroom Only - Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

 

The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age – adults, infant, & child). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
